For the public areas of Van der Valk Theaterhotel Almelo, we created a lighting concept that fits the character of each space. From the reception and restaurant to the games hall and bowling alley, every area was given its own atmosphere while still feeling connected as a whole.
A warm welcome
In the reception and restaurant areas, the lighting was designed to feel warm and inviting. Soft general lighting combined with carefully placed accents helps create a comfortable setting where guests immediately feel welcome, whether they are checking in, having dinner or enjoying a drink.
Entertaining light
The games hall and bowling alley called for a different approach. Here, the lighting adds more contrast and character to support the lively atmosphere of the spaces. By playing with direction, intensity and layering, the lighting helps bring energy to the interior without becoming overwhelming.
Lighting in Balance with DALI
The lighting in the hotel has been designed to showcase both the architecture and the interior design. Thanks to the DALI-controlled luminaires, the lighting can also be intelligently controlled and easily adapted to any atmosphere, setting or function within the hotel.
